Mr. Billy Ray Langford

March 26, 1931 — June 2, 2017

Mr. Billy Ray Langford passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at the V.A. Nursing Home in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday, June 4th from 3-6 p.m. and Monday, June 5th from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Langford was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence. He was a member of the Florence Lion’s Club, Mississippi Woodworkers Association, the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation, and a member of the 31st Infantry Dixie Division. He enjoyed making porch swings and gardening. Mr. Langford is preceded in death by his parents: D.A. and Evie Langford; wife: Jane Langford; and brothers: Ted Langford, Rudy Langford, and Tim Langford. He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Chapman Langford of Florence; son: Kevin (Julie) Langford of Florence; daughter: Laurie (Jimbo) Macoy of Florence; brother: Dickie Langford of The Villages, FL; sisters: Sandra Langford and Sue Carter both of Clinton; five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
