Billy Lee McAdams, 87, passed away in Clinton, MS on Saturday, March 26, 2022. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. His funeral will be on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00 at the Ackerman Church of Christ in Ackerman, MS. His family will receive family and friends for a visitation for an hour before the funeral. Burial will follow at the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in Reform, MS. Mr. McAdams was born on July 9, 1934 in Choctaw County, MS. The love of his life was his high school sweetheart, Annie Sue Fondren who he married on January 19, 1952. They were married for 64 years before her passing in 2016. He loved God and his family which included a son, three daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Billy and Annie were faithful members of the Siwell Church of Christ for many years. Mr. McAdams was known for his generosity and willingness to help anybody at any time. In his younger days, he was a swimmer, water skier, and a basketball player. He passed the love of basketball down to his daughters, granddaughters, and grandsons, and he loved to watch them play. He also enjoyed coon hunting. For over forty years he had a very successful career as a Home Service Insurance Agent. He was highly esteemed by his peers in the insurance industry. Mr. McAdams is preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Sue Fondren McAdams; his son, William Lee McAdams; his parents, A.D. McAdams and Frankie Dudley McAdams; and siblings, Charles McAdams, Inez Taylor, Irene Edwards, James McAdams, Grady McAdams, Emily Fondren, and Grace McAdams. Those left here to cherish his memories include daughters, Joy (Robert) Naquin of Alexandria, LA, Gail (Greg) Crockett of Ridgeland, Frankie (Leslie) Barlow of Clinton; daughter-in-law, Debra McAdams of Terry; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren plus two more on the way.
