Mr. Billy Wayne Parker, 61, passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 3, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, August 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a Graveside Service on Thursday, August 6th at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories in Florence, MS. Due to the current guidelines regarding gatherings, there will only be 10 people allowed in the chapel at a time during visitation and 20 people at the graveside and mask or facial coverings must be brought and worn. Pallbearers include Ryan Hardwick, Tim Pickett, Colton Pearson, Chad Hardwick, Hunter Herrington, and Jonah Clack. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Browning, Kenny Wilson, Larry Hardaway, and Herb Melton. Billy was born August 24, 1958 in Jackson, MS to Bill and Mildred Parker. He lived most of his life in Florence and recently moved to Brandon. He attended Jackson First Assembly and worked for many years as the meat supervisor for Jitney Jungle. He loved his Lord, his family and Ole Miss. In his free time, he enjoyed going fishing. Billy is survived by his wife of 6 ½ years, Suzanne Parker of Brandon; parents, Bill & Mildred Parker of Florence; son, Shane (Angie) Parker of Florence; daughter, Candace (Casey) Pilgrim of Birmingham; stepsons, Joey (Pennie) Clack of Brandon, Jacob (Bethany) Clack of Brandon and Jonah (Shelby) Clack of Richland; grandchildren, Jack Parker, Rush Parker and Carson Pilgrim; step-granddaughter, Carly Clack; and sisters, Deborah (Milton) Pickett of Florence and Sheila (Ray) Pearson of Raymond.
