Mr. Billy Earl Pickell

Billy Earl Pickell, (AKA PICKELL), 51, passed into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his wife and loved ones. The family will celebrate Billy’s life with a graveside service Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Richland Cemetery. Billy was born September 24, 1969 in Greenville, MS to Billy Ray and Emma Cotton Pickell. He attended and played football at Richland High School, graduating class of ’87. He enjoyed dancing, hunting and fishing. Billy loved to make people laugh. He loved his family, was a hard worker and never met a stranger. Those preceding him death include his father, Robert Ashley; biological father, Billy Ray Pickell; and grandparents, Roxie and Henry Cotton. He is survived by his wife, Marie Pickell of Richland; mother, Emma Ashley of Richland; sons, Cody (Leslie) Pickell of Florence, Cory Pickell of Florence, Brandon (Amanda) Pickell of Florence; daughter, Danielle Pickell of Richland; sisters, Alicia (Jack) Toler of Isola, Paige (Chris) Shurlds of Braxton, Mandy (Steven) Keith of Louise; brother, Henry “Bubba” Ashley of Richland; grandchildren, Grayson Pickell, Swayze Pickell, Elijah McMiller, Easton Pickell, Karter Page and a host of nieces and nephews.
