Billy Ray Smith, 60, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Byram. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Rev. Art Land will officiate.\ \ Mr. Smith was born June 7, 1949 in Silverton, TX to Fred and Naomi Smith. He was Maintenance Supervisor for Brookwood Byram Country Club and was of the Baptist faith.\ \ Survivors include his daughter Melissa Alaniz and husband Adam of Electra, TX; brothers Donald Lewis and wife Jean of Vernon, Tx, Larry Smith of Sulphur, OK and Jack Smith of Wichita Falls, TX; sisters Betty of Denver, CO and Carolyn Cobb of Davis, OK and 3 grandchildren.\ \
