Mrs. Bobbie Nell Mahaffey passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the age of 82. She was born January 6, 1932, to Bob Scarbrough and Norma Scarbrough Dalton, of Florence. Bobbie Nell grew up in the Florence area, but spent the majority of her years supporting her family in South Jackson. She was formerly a faithful member of McDowell Road Baptist Church, and Country Woods Baptist Church. She joined Briar Hill Baptist Church upon her move back to Florence in 2007, and was a faithful member up to the time of her illness. Bobbie Nell is survived by her children Theresa Parham (Charlie), Dotty Thomas (Gary), and Frank Mahaffey (Shellie). She was blessed with five grandchildren: David Mangum, Nick Thomas, Amy M. Hervey, James Mahaffey, and Sarah M. Jackson, and eight great grand-children: David Jacob, Adrienne, and Morgan Mangum, Jackson Thomas, Abby, Kate and Connor Hervey, and Alice Jackson. The family wishes to thank all those who provided loving care for “Miss” Bobbie, and support for her family. Funeral services will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home, 7225 S. Siwell Road, Byram, MS at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Monday, October 27, 2014 and one hour prior to the 1:00pm service on Tuesday. Graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Boulevard, Jackson, MS.
