Bobby Lloyd East, 85, passed away peacefully at Hospice Ministries on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, March 2 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, March 3, at 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl. Mr. East was a member of Star Baptist Church. He was very loved by his family and would sacrifice anything for his girls and adored his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He loved flowers, gardening, birds, music and was a fan of baseball, football and golf. One of his best memories growing up was when he worked as an assistant to his father in his blacksmith shop. He had a long and storied career with Jitney Jungle where he advanced to the level of management before his retirement. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn East; parents Thomas and Maida East; brothers, Harmon East and Ray East; sister, Dorothy Sykes; grandmother, Elizabeth Sterling. Mr. East is survived by daughters, Debra (John) Baker of Star, Cindy (Shawn) Terwilliger of Pearl, and Wanda (Derrek) Brown of Haughton, LA; brother, Jack (Rosemary) East of Clinton; sister, Sue Mason of Pearl; 10 grandchildren, Vincent (Paula) Canoy, Matthew Canoy, Melissa (Lyndsey) Lundstrom, David (Nikki) Lundstrom, Stephanie (Jeremy) Ward, Chrissy (Matt) Rivers, Lauren (Nathan) Hulvey, Dylan (Haley) Adcock, Jamie Adcock, and Bryce Terwilliger; and 15 great-grandchildren, Sommer Rivers, Hunter Ward, Hope (Preston) Bradford, Vinnie Canoy, Brooklyn Smith, Olivia Ward, Lexi Lundstrom, Chase Rivers, Mckenzie Rivers, Kaylee Lundstrom, Presley Durham, Joshua Hulvey, Bella Adcock, Landon Hulvey and Hudson Lejeune. Pallbearers for the service will be: Vincent Canoy, David Lundstrom, Jamie Adcock, Chase Rivers, Vinnie Canoy, Bryce Terwilliger and Dylan Adcock.
