Bobby Hawks

Mr. Bobby Dale Hawks, 75, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at Central MS Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Thursday at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.\ \ Mr. Hawks served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. His work career included trucking both as owner and operator for 10 years and retirement with 25 years with Consolidated Freight Lines. During this career he was recipient of many driver safety awards.\ \ He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sue Hawks; two sons: Robert (Linda) Hawks of Memphis and Floyd Hawks of Florence; brothers: Doug Hawks, James Hawks and Sidney Hawks; sisters: Judy Whitt, Brenda Scheidhaver, Mary Campbell, Sally Frazier and Joyce Bazzell; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.\
