Bobby Joseph Malley, Sr., 75, passed into the arms of Jesus, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Forest Hill Nursing Home in Jackson. A family graveside service will be 2 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, Ms. Bobby was born January 12, 1945 in Marion County to Virgil William and Maude Miller Malley. A loving father and grandfather, he was a longtime resident of Florence and was a former member of Crossgates Baptist church in Brandon. Bobby retired from the Mississippi Public Employee Retirement System and the MS National Guard after serving 30 years. He volunteered in many different activities in his community, including the American Red Cross, Cleary Fire Dept., and the Rankin County sheriff’s department. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Maude Malley; brother, James; sister, Marie and his loving wife, Janet in 2012. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Tommy (Emily) Malley of Florence, Mark (Pam) Malley of Florence, BJ (Jennifer) Malley of Brandon; sisters, Minnie Garrett of Richland, MS, Betty (JP) Dear of Harrisville, MS; brother, Billy Malley of Florence 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
