Mr. Bobby Ray Pitts

Mr. Bobby Ray Pitts, 79, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 21, 2018. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service all at Chancellor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories in Florence. Mr. Pitts, a member of Calvary Chapel Church in Pearl, MS, was a certified electrician and a committee member of the Union Local IUE #698. He was employed by Packard Electric. He was known for his hard work. In fact, his hobby was working. He also enjoyed owning and managing rental property. Mr. Pitts is preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Pitts; his daughter, Vickie Toles; his parents, Walter and Viola Ellington Pitts; and two brothers, Mack and Jasper “Sonny” Pitts. He is survived by sons, Robert (Betsy) Pitts of New Jersey, Daniel (Meredith) Pitts of New Jersey, and Andrew (Cindy) Pitts of Clinton; daughters, Brandy (Josh) Dewitt of Florence, Sherry (Jimmy) Bryant of Crystal Springs, Tonya (Michael) Daniels of Florence, and Charlotte Lee; brother, Walter “Dean” Pitts of Kiln, MS; sister, Faye Elizabeth Bruce of Florence; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; extended family, Joseph McLaughlin, Faith McLaughlin, and Lauren D. Pitts.
