Mr. Bobby Max Purvis

Bobby Max Purvis, 68, went to be with his Lord Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his residence in Florence. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service all at Antioch Baptist Church in Florence. Due to Covid-19 concerns, all in attendance will be required to wear a mask and social distance. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Bobby was born July 3, 1952 in Florence, MS to Perry and Lecy Bridges Purvis. He was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 42 years. Bobby loved his Lord, his family, his church, and four legged friends. He enjoyed hunting and gardening with his granddaughters. In his spare time, he restored old trucks. He made time everyday to read his bible. He was also a proud Veteran, serving in the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Perry Purvis, Sr. and Lecy Bridges Purvis. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Louise Purvis of Florence; son, Beau (Brandi) Purvis of Florence; daughter Jessica (Jason) Bridges of Florence; brothers, Sonny (Debbie) Purvis and Henry (Shirley) Purvis both of Florence; sister, Sue Dear and Martha (Mike) Bingham both of Florence; granddaughters, Elise Purvis, Kinsley Bridges and his faithful companion, Tipper.
