Boyd Cole

Boyd Cole, 63, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 5-8pm and Friday, November 19 from 12pm until the 2pm service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories. \ \ Mr. Cole, a resident of Braxton since 1995, was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church. Mr. Cole, a Vietnam Veteran, is a retired recruiter from the U.S. Army. After he retired, he repaired cell phones for Cellular South out of Ridgeland. He is listed in the Mississippi State Sports Hall of Fame for discus.\ \ He is preceded in death by his brother Wayne Cole. He is survived by his wife, Connie Cole of Braxton; sons, Brian (Genia) Cole of Kingwood, TX, Jonathan (Aimee') Cole of Jackson, James (Rowan) Logan of Byram; daughter, Constance (David) Turner of Brandon; sister, Lyn Posey of Lewiston, Idaho; and 9 Grandchildren, Joshua Turner, Caitlin Turner, Andrew Cole, Matthew Cole, Haley Cole, Brady Cole, James Logan V, Patrick Cole, and Cecile Cole.\
