Mr. Brian Dedric Morris

Brian Dedric Morris of Florence passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 46 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Florence from 1:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Clear Branch Cemetery following the service. Brian was born December 13, 1974 in Columbia, MS. He worked as a Logistics Coordinator in the Oilfield industry. He has lived in Florence since 2013 and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He loved his family and spending time with them. He especially loved doing anything Disney related with his wife and children. Brian loved to sing and he enjoyed golfing, traveling, fishing and the New Orleans Saints. He is preceded in death by his father, Ned Morris; his step-father, John Earl Crain; and his grandparents, Velma and Bob Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Kristina Morris of Florence; his beautiful children, Brilee Morris (8) and Kaiden Morris (6), both of Florence; his mother, Donna Crain of Florence; his aunt, Bonnie Williamson of New Orleans, LA; and many other extended family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial be made the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Building Fund.
