Mr. James Edward "Buddy" Hamm, 71, completed his earthly journey on Monday, August 17, 2009 at The Arbor in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 2 p.m. prior to services at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.\ \ Mr. Hamm, a long time resident of Florence will be someone remembered as spending his life giving of his talents- going on mission trips, building churches, singing in his church choir and active in the Masons. He also enjoyed woodworking, building baby cradles, cooking and hunting. He was truck driver for Campbell Express Trucking for many years before retiring at Churchill Trucking. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence.\ \ He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Waltman Hamm, son, Greg (Teresa) Hamm of Brandon; daughter, Michelle Zebert of Pearl; brothers: Baker Hamm of Lake and Jerry Hamm of NC; sisters: Sue Waltman of Lake and Minnie Lou Riddle of Bovina; 5 grandchildren: Zach and Tina Hamm, Hahnna, Josh and Andrea Zebert.\ \ In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Florence First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 97, Florence, MS 39073.\
