Mr. Byron Stuart Smith

Byron Stuart Smith, 53, of Florence, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. Visitation will be 5-7pm Sunday, July 30 and from 10-11am Monday, July 31 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will be at 11am Monday, July 31st at Chancellor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Florence. Byron was born June 21, 1964, in Neuburg, Germany. He was a salesman with Southern Beverage Co. He was known to many as a “Goofball” for being a practical joker and was also an avid gun collector. He loved his wife and family dearly and was known for his generosity and having a huge heart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Charlotte Smith. Byron is survived by: his wife: Lorrie Smith of Florence; his son: Terrance (Callie) Geno of Madison; his daughters: Stephanie (Jeremy) Slawson of Florence and Samantha Smith of Florence; his sister: Jeriann (Rodney) Broom of Star; and his grandchildren: Ashton Martin, Maddison Martin, Natalie McLaughlin, Colton McLaughlin, Cadence Geno and Braelynn Slawson.
