Byron Walker

Byron Fred Walker, Jr., 69, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at his home in Byram. Visitation will be11am-2pm Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will begin at 2pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel.\ \ Mr. Walker was born February 26, 1941 in Washington County, MS to Byron F. Walker, Sr. and Lovie Chandler Walker. He had lived in the Byram area for 20 years having come from Greenville. Mr. Walker was a salesman for copiers and office equipment and a member of County Woods Baptist Church.\ \ Survivors include his wife Carole Walker; daughters Carole McQueen, Liz Brent (Collins), and Sharon Benson (Jack); brothers Doney Walker (Carolyn) and Johnny Walker (Karen); sister Linda Switzer (Kenny); 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.\ \ Memorials may be made to Gideons International PO Box 8265, Byram, MS 39272; International Fellowship of Christians and Jews PO Box 96105, Washington, DC 20090-6105 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
