Calvin C. Walley, 80, passed away at his home in Byram, MS on Saturday, March 07, 2020. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram on Sunday, March 8 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and Monday, March 9 from 11 a.m. until the service at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Rosemont Gardens. Calvin was a quick witted, fun loving man who enjoyed life and was determined to live it on his own terms. His sense of humor and adventure was shared with many. He was a loving man who had a profound impact on those he shared his life with and will be deeply missed by all. Mr. Walley was a professional truck driver for fifty years. He enjoyed raising and riding horses, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Walley served proudly in the United States Army. He was a proud American, and was very passionate about the beloved symbols of freedom, The American Flag and the Bald Eagle. Mr. Walley was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Jessie Heidelberg Walley; a sister, Frances Braswell; and three brothers, Allen, Henry, and Jimmie Walley. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Walley of Franklinton, LA; son, James (Paulette) Walley of Richland, MS; and daughter, Janice Pfister of Strongsville, OH; a brother, Lloyd Walley of Byram, MS; three grandchildren, Brandon and Jonathan (Kayla) Pfister, and James (Della) Walley, great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly; and beloved caregiver and friend, Toni Goodnight.
