July 11, 1963 — April 13, 2019

Carol Jean Ramer 55, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Jackson. Visitation is 5:00pm-7:00pm Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, funeral services will be 7:00pm that night in the chapel. Carol was a longtime resident of Raymond and of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful homemaker for her family, always putting their needs first. She loved people, had a great sense of humor and a happy attitude. She enjoyed cooking and loved animals. Carol would sometimes go to deer camp with her husband David, NOT to hunt, but just to socialize with her friends. She was known for her outgoing spirit. Her family said she was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her husband of 34 years, David Ramer of Raymond, her mother Jean Ryder of Byram, her beloved sons, Dylan (Rachelle) Ramer of Utica and Cody Ramer of Starkville, three nieces ( she raised as her own), Crystal Duran, Jaimie Flemming and Kayla Barlow, her brother, Mike Ryder of Byram, two sisters, Marlene Coleman of Jackson and Rhonda (Rick) Whatley of Raymond, two grandchildren, Daniel and Mason Ramer, many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
