Sister Carole Sitzmann Brewer passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at her home in Florence. She was 79 years old. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life service at Jesus Name Tabernacle on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Max Smith will officiate.
Sister Brewer was born December 29, 1942, in Miami, FL to the late Rodger and Freda Sitzmann. She was a faithful member of Jesus Name Tabernacle, and she loved her church dearly. She loved the Lord and was strong in her faith. There wasn’t a situation that arose in which she couldn’t quote a bible verse to help. She was a “jack of all trades” and could do anything she set her mind to. She loved to cook and would use her baking skills for others. She enjoyed artistry and fishing and was fluent in American Sign Language, even working for the MS School for the Deaf and Blind.
Along with her parents, Sister Brewer is also preceded in death by her husband, Esco Brewer and her twin sister, Cathy Lentz.
She is survived by her daughter, Leona (Ricky) Johnston of Liberty, MS; son, David Brewer of Liberty, MS; sister, Crystal Pearce of Cairo, GA; brother, Rodger Sitzmann of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Bailey and Evan Brewer and Duran and Brentley Johnston; and her dear caregiver, Lois Roney.
Galations 6:10 "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
Chancellor Funeral home in Florence is assisting the family with the arrangements.
