Carolyn Rushing

Carolyn Sue Rushing, 65, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at UMC in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, May 24 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, May 25, all at First Pentecostal Church of Jackson. Interment will follow at Magee City Cemetery, Magee, MS. Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram handling arrangements.\ \ Mrs. Rushing was born in Pine Bluff, AR and had retired as a surgical scrub nurse from University Medical Center. She was a member and Director of the Resource Department at First Pentecostal Church.\ \ She is preceded in death by her father Obie Glen Womble. Survivors include her husband of 34 years Hugh Rushing of Byram; mother Juanita Cornish Womble of Hughes, AR; brother Glen Womble (Barbara) of Hughes, AR; nephews Wesley Womble and Thomas Womble (Janice); and a host of family and friends.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\ \
