Cecil P. Walker,77 , passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at CMMC in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday, May 4, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 10am until the 11am funeral service Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Byram. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.\ \ Mr. Walker was born April 6, 1932 in the Moncure community near Terry, MS to William Austin and Ollie Mae Sykes Walker and moved to the Byram area when he was about eight years old. Mr. Walker served in the United State Army as a corporal communications technician and served 18 months in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Deviney Construction Co. after 50 years of service and was a Deacon and long-time member of First Baptist Church of Byram.\ \ He is preceded in death by his siblings, William C. Walker, Lula Mae Walker Watson and Alton (Buster) Walker.\ \ Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Annie Lee Abernathy Walker; sons, Cecil Wayne Walker, Mike (Melitta) Walker and Tommy (Robin) Walker; Siblings, Bobby (Linda) Walker, Milton (June) Walker, Jack (Shirley) Walker, Nell Aust, Helen (James) Gray, Ed (Dianne) Walker and Kent (Ann) Walker; grandchildren, Mandy Walker, Tabitha Walker, Luke Walker, 2nd Lt.
