Cecil Irvin Welch, 82, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday July 1, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 6:00PM and again on Monday July 2, 2018 from 9:00AM until the 10:00AM funeral service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mr. Welch was born to the late Woodrow and Annie Welch in Vaiden, MS. He has spent the last 60 years living in the Raymond area. Cecil was a member of the Pine Haven Presbyterian Church in Clinton. He was very musically talented and loved to play instruments, especially the steel guitar. He liked gardening, hunting, fishing and he enjoyed his career in the plumbing industry. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice Myrick Welch, and three brothers, Charles Welch Sr., Harry Welch, and Jerry Welch. He is survived by his sons; Charles Welch of Hattiesburg, Bill (Vianne) Welch of Madison, Joe (Sharon) Welch of Canton, Steve (Melinda) Welch of Madison and Doyle (Jennifer) Welch of Jackson, his daughter, Amy Balliet of Raymond, his brother, Bobby (Pam) Welch of Savannah, GA, his sisters; Barbara (Jimmy) Mardis of Flowood, Linda (Sonny) Rozina of Brandon, Judy (Bobby) Quarles of Flowood and Anita (Leon) Hemphill of Brandon, as well as 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
