Mr. Charles Thomas Brinson

Charles Thomas Brinson, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Saturday, August 15th from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Star Cemetery. Mr. Brinson worked as a painter at Vought Aircraft for over 35 years before retiring. He was a wonderful provider with a great sense of humor, and he also loved to make people laugh. He loved road trips and taking walks. Mr. Brinson is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Boone and Annie Ruby Rose Brinson; brother, Daniel Boone Brinson, Jr.; and sisters, Juanita Brinson Hunt and Mary Jo Brinson Phillips. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Nell Neese Brinson of Star; son, Thomas Ray Brinson of Star; daughters, Cynthia Nell Brinson of Star and Janice Marie Brinson Voss and her husband Jack, II of Lindale, TX; sister, Eleanor Ross Trusch of Killmark, VA; grandchildren, Lauren Voss Bogdan and her husband Andrew of Lindale, TX and Ben Jack Voss III of Tulsa, OK; step great grandson, Levi Bogdan of Lindale, TX and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
