Mr. Charles "Chuck" Edward Calcote

Charles “Chuck” Edward Calcote, 74 , passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday, March 22, 2018 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, March 23, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Mr. Calcote was born in Monticello, MS to the late Barney and Marie King Calcote. He was a lifelong resident of MS, living in Jackson since 1965, retiring from Illinois Central Railroad. He loved to play pool, dominoes and enjoyed working on lawn mowers after retiring from the railroad. Mr. Calcote was a family man who was a hard worker—always being there for his children and grandchildren, no matter what and he loved his dogs. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Robert; sisters, JoAnn, Sarah, Mildred and baby Calcote. Survivors include his wife Lynn Calcote of Jackson; son, Chad Edward Calcote of Jackson; daughters, Stacey Calcote and Shauna Calcote both of Terry; brothers, Barney, Frank and Glen, all of Monticello; sisters, Sue and Voncille (Benoir) of Monticello and Jean of LA; grandchildren, Shawn, Shyan, Shane and Gavin; favorite niece Sandi and best friends, Larry and Linda Miller.
