Charles Homan

Charles Ray Homan, age 91, a resident of Byram, MS, passed away on November 22, 2024, in Jackson, MS. Charles was born in Sherman, MS on August 22, 1933, to the late Ray Homan and Maye Barber. Charles was a member of the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years in the countries of Panama, Germany, the Philippines, Japan, and Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, Charles worked for the United States Postal Service. 

 Charles is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob McMaster; and sisters, Ann Deposter and Faye Truitt. 

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Zelma “Jean” Homan of Byram, MS; daughters, Tracy Webb [Billy] of Vanleer, TN, Deanna Rummage [Mark] of Grenada, MS, and Vicki Homan; grandchildren, Nina Partusch [Robert], Leslie Rogers [Shane], Jason Webb, and Ian Rummage; and great-grandchildren, Adrianna Lucas, Dustin Davis, Ben Partusch, Jackson Crutcher, and Matthew Crutcher.
