Mr. Charles E. McCain, Jr.

Charles Erskine McCain, Jr., 78, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood South. Mr. McCain was born in Memphis, TN to the late Charles Erskine McCain, Sr. and Louise McPeak McCain. A longtime resident of Jackson, he served in the National Guard and retired from Dupont Chemical in Memphis, TN and was formerly employed with Chandler Taxidermy in Jackson. Mr. McCain loved baseball and was a die hard Braves fan. He also enjoyed the dirt track in Byram where he was track photographer and was a loving father, grandfather and of the Presbyterian faith. He is preceded in death by one son, Timmy McCain. Survivors include sons, Doug McCain of Brighton, TN and Chris McCain (Rutha) of Jackson; brother, Kenneth McCain and sister, Rose Eubank, both of Brighton, TN; grandchildren, Cole McCain, Shawna McCain, Bobby McCain and Ian McCain; great grandchildren, Ryleigh McCain, Caden McCain, Carter McCain and Cooper McCain.
