Charles "Monty" Stayton

Charles Moncure “Monty” Stayton passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022 at his home in Florence, Mississippi at the age of 70. He was born on July 7, 1952 in Crystal Springs Mississippi. The Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 28th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS and again, on Tuesday, November 29th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Lakeshore Church in Byram, MS with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson, MS

 Monty could light up a room like no one else with his infectious smile and genuine personality. He never met a stranger and was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend. Monty was an avid golfer, Ole Miss fanatic, Harley Davidson lover, trivia enthusiast, and former bowler. He owned Phase II Hair Care, along with partner Janet Thompson, in Byram, Mississippi for 40 years. Monty’s fellow employees were nothing short of family members to him. He carried such fond memories from his time at Phase II and worked until the very end of his earthly journey.

 Monty was preceded in death by his parents Charles F. Stayton and Trudie Stayton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years (Paula Stayton), daughter (Kimberly Stayton), son (Chris Stayton), daughter-in-law (Jackie Stayton), and grandchildren (Clark Stayton- 4 years) (Abbie Stayton- 1 year).
