Mr. Charles P. Williams "C.P."

Charles P. Williams “C.P.”, 83, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 and Monday, November 18 at 10:00 until the 11:00 service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Interment will follow at Lakewood South in Jackson, MS. Mr. Williams was born in Mississippi and spent the last 30 years in Terry, MS. He served his country in the Navy from 1951 until 1955. He retired from the Jackson Police Department after 22 years of service as detective lieutenant. He went on to retire from Hinds General Hospital and Methodist Hospital. He was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church, Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Association and The American Legion, He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Agnes Williams; brother Ewell Williams; sisters Mariana Hegarty and Jeanette Roy. He is survived by his loving wife Louise Williams of Terry; daughters Jan (Roger) Setzler of Mobile and Rebecca Williams of Mobile; Stepson Joey Foster, Jr. of Terry; sister Charlotte Rice of Hendersonville, NC; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
