Charles Wolverton

Charles Herman Wolverton of Sebastopol, MS passed away from declining health October 23, 2012 at River Oaks Hospital in Canton, MS.\ Born October 23, 1933, Charlie was a loving father, brother, and husband. He was a spiritual man later in life after seeing the error of his ways. He graduated from Sebastopol High School and served in the U.S. Army in the 1950‘s. While stationed in Oklahoma, he attended culinary school. He was an accomplished chef and everyone raved about his chicken and dumplings and chicken dressing.\ In his early career he worked in civil engineering. He began in the printing business with Capital Printing and Blueprint, which led to KopyKing, which later became Wolverton and Sons Printing, continuing until retirement.\ In his later years he spent most of his time on the golf courses of Shady Oaks, Colonial, and Deerfield. He was a faithful member of Parkway Pentecostal Church in Madison, MS.\ Mr. Wolverton, 79, was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Matilda Wolverton and brother, Junior.\ He is survived by his wife, Deanna; three sons, Richard (Linda) Wolverton of Clinton, MS, Eddie (Charlotte) Wolverton of Destin, FL, Craig (Kim) Wolverton of Pisgah, MS; step-children, Scott (Donna) Preston of Sacramento, CA, Darla Steece of Madison, MS, and Lance (Carla) Preston, Tulsa, OK; sisters, Linda Moorehead of Sebastopol, MS, and Audell Dodson of Terry, MS; brothers, Melvin (Shirley) of Philadelphia, MS, Gerald (Lorese) of Madison, MS, and Larry (Angie) of Sebastopol, MS; grandchildren, Melody, Allyson, Nicole, Zach, Courtney, Lauren, Garrett, Rob, Max, Sidney, Julia, Ben, Hannah, Jack, and Maggie Ann; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Kayden; and numerous nieces and nephews. \ Visitation will be Friday, October 26, from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, October 27, at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. at Parkway Pentecostal Church in Madison, MS. Interment will be in Garden of Memories at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.
