Charlie Thomas

Charlie Thomas 76, of Florence, died Sunday, May 29, 2010 at his home in Florence. Friends and family will gather at 1pm Wednesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and a memorial service will be at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. \ \ Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Mr. Thomas had moved to Florence 11 years ago. His joy was serving children with special needs and was a special needs bus driver for Rankin County. He enjoyed traveling and dressing up as Santa Clause every year.\ \ He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Susie Thomas, of Florence; 7 children, 2 sisters, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.\
