Charline W. Morrow joined her siblings and most of her family in their heavenly homes on Friday, April 5, 2013, at age 84. She died at home with her surviving daughter. Charline was born January 15, 1929 to Charlie and Ruby White. She was the fifth child with five brothers and one sister, all of who predeceased her. Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram, MS has been entrusted to handle the services. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00, Thursday evening, April 11, 2013. The celebration of her life will be at 1:00 Friday, April 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram with visitation from 11:00 until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakewood South, Jackson, MS. Charline lived her life as she wanted and was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church, Jackson, MS; prior to this she attended Parkway Baptist Church of Jackson. She also belonged to all of the Parent Teacher Associations at all the schools her children attended. She was a homemaker until her oldest child completed Middle School. She then began her career of work outside the home. She was a Room Mother while her children were in elementary school. She chaperoned many field trips. She was asked by her daughter to chaperone for another school at the Music Festival and as usual, she agreed. She was the only Mother in the neighborhood who did not work. Her house was where all the kids from the area came to play. We shelled peas and beans as well as shucked corn in the garage. After the work was complete she always had a treat for all of us. Her first job was for the Mississippi Milk Commission on a part time basis. She went to work for Capitol Electric Company, Clinton, MS on March 20, 1967, and continued to work for Mississippi Power and Light which became Entergy until her retirement, April 1, 1989. From her retirement until her death, she lived life as she wanted. She was a Master Gardener, and had many beautiful flowers in her yard that are no longer available unless you get a cutting or seeds from someone. Charline was predeceased by her parents and all her siblings. She was also predeceased by her husband, Thomas P. Morrow, Jr., her daughter Emiley J. Kelley, and her son David Thomas Morrow. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann Morrow Bishop (Becky) and her husband Robert Bishop of Florence, MS. She is survived by five grandchildren, Louis Avalon of Dallas, TX; Laurie Lancaster and her husband Tim of Jupiter, FL; Jennifer Broome of Daphne, AL; Lindsay Morrow of Pearl, MS; and Christopher Anderson of Florence, MS. She is survived by seven Great Grandchildren, Gabrielle Morrow, Payton Lancaster, Presley Lancaster, Madison Anderson, Kale Johnston, Kaitlyn Anderson, and Haidon Johnston. She is also survived by her niece, Eunice (Puddin) Taylor and her husband Barney and daughter-in-law Sally Morrow. The family would like to thank, the staff of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center One North and also Dr. Steve Epperson, Dr. Eric McVey, Dr. Keith Jones, and Dr. Geoff Lewis for their compassionate care during Mother’s terminal illness.
