Chris Bowman

John Chris Bowman Sr. passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Flowood.  He was 50 years old.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The Memorial service will follow at 2:00p.m.

Chris was born to John Randolph Bowman and Birdie Lee Gray on October 14, 1972, in Jackson, Mississippi. He was raised in Brandon but has lived in Florence for 9 years. He attended Central Baptist Church in Brandon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding.  Chris also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Randolph Bowman, and his brother Joseph Charles Bowman.  He is survived by his wife; Connie Bowman of Florence; mother, Birdie Lee Gray Jones of Brandon; stepfather, Gary Jones of Brandon; brother, James C. Bowman (Kimberly) of Brandon; children, John C Bowman Jr. (Rachel) of Leesburg, Julie Ingram (Dusty) of Leesburg, and Tabitha Bowman; stepdaughter Elizabeth Adcock (Michael) of Rankin and stepson, LCpl Tyler Burr USMC of Yuma, AZ and 5 grandchildren.
