Inest Christine Haithcock, 74, formerly of Long Beach, died in Vicksburg on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Visitation is Thursday from 5-7pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The services will be Friday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with interment following in Florence Cemetery. \ \ Chris treated life as a journey, and through her travels and encyclopedia of knowledge developed that she used to help guide her family when needed, push them when necessary and love them unconditionally. Through this love, she could inspire a person to make themselves better, while always being there to advise in any situation. She was the driving force in a family that is eternally grateful and also proud to call her Mom or Nanny. The lessons that God taught her served her well in life, and now she will get her reward in heaven. She may have moved on but will never be forgotten and always loved.\ \ She was the Nursing Supervisor at MS Baptist Medical Center for nearly 30 years and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton.\ \ She was preceded in death by Husband, Melvin Haithcock, her father, J.W.Durden (Daddy Bill) and her sister Billie Sills Saik. She is survived by her mother, Inest Durden (Moma Bill) of Clinton; son Tim Nisley of Vicksburg; daughters Elizabeth Rankin and husband Keith of Vicksburg, and Alison Anne Young and husband David of Long Beach; five grandchildren, Steve Willis (Becky), Windy Brown (Edward), Samantha Spansel (Steven), Chris Young (Chelsey), and Daniel Young; and one great-grandchild Leah Spansel.\
