Rev. Christine Jenkins, 87, a servant of the Lord left her earthly home in Richland Friday, October 3, 2008 to be with the love of her life, her Lord and Savior. Visitation is Saturday, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 1-2 p.m. Sunday prior to the 2 p.m. service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jenkins Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. in Kosciusko, MS.\ \ After 50 plus years in the pastorate she wanted to testify that God had abundantly blessed and supplied all of her needs. She once stated that if she had life to live again, she would spend it as a lady pastor in whatever place the Lord put her. She spent her life loving people and endeavoring to meet their needs. She was the minister of Nitrate City Church of the Nazarene for 44 years. She was a member of Turning Point Nazarene Church in Pearl.\ \ She is survived by brother, Alton (Faye) Jenkins of Springfield, TN; sister, Annice (Albert) Morrow of Richland and sister-in-laws; Marie Jenkins of Atlanta, GA, and Sara Jenkins of Jacksonville, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.\
