Mrs. Christine "Chris" Smith

Christine “Chris” Smith went to be with her Lord Monday, November 18, 2013. Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013, 11am until the 2pm funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Rosemont Gardens in Jackson. Mrs. Smith was a native of Magee, having spent most of her life in Jackson, with the last 19 years in Byram. She retired as office manager for Dr. Randy Russell and was a member of Country Woods Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years James “Smitty” Smith. Survivors include her sons Jimmy Smith, Jr. (Jonnie), Doug Smith (Kathy), Dennis Smith and Mike Smith (Donna); daughter Cindy Smith; 12 grandchildren including Hunter James Smith that she raised and 16 great grandchildren.
