Christine West

On the glorious evening of April 27, 2012,Christine Hammonds West went to be with her Lord and Savior. Mrs. West was a devout Christian, who loved serving her Lord. She taught Sunday school, sang in the church, and loved helping others. She is preceded in death by her husband, S.V. West and her son, Roy West. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Burt; her grandchildren, Adam West, Rodney McBay, and Nathan McBay; three great grandchildren, Taylor and Emily McBay and Tristan West; her brothers, James Hammonds and Winston Hammonds; and her sister, Grace Anderson.\ \ The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, May 2nd from 5-8 pm and Thursday, May 3rd from 9 am until the 10 am service in the chapel at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Following the service, burial will take place at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Laurel. \
