Mrs. Clara Sue Hawks

Mrs. Clara Sue Foster Hawks, of Cairo, Illinois passed away at her home in Florence on Friday, September 25, 2015. She was the daughter of Lucy and Floyd Foster. Sue was married to Bobby Dale Hawks and they had 2 sons, Robert Vincent and Floyd Edward. Ms. Sue’s sons meant the world to her and they were the love of her life. A longtime resident of Florence, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Hawks loved to shop and went to the beauty shop faithfully. She loved God, her family and her many friends. All those who knew her were truly blessed to have had her in their lives. God blessed her with 80 years. He felt it was time for her to come home and be with him. Visitation will be Monday, September 28th from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. She leaves behind two sons, Robert “Bob” and wife, Linda Hawks of Memphis and Floyd Hawks and fiancé Angela of Florence; two grandchildren, Monica and Crystal; 4 great grandchildren; 2 step grand daughters; and a number of step great grandchildren; and Maedene who she affectionately called “Nadine” who was like a daughter to her and her faithful schnauzer, “Marshae.”
