Mr. Clayton Douglas “Doug” McDaniel, Sr., 78, passed away September 22, 2015 at his son’s home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held Monday, September 28, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Doug was a longtime residence of Crystal Springs. He loved fishing and hunting so much that he dove hunted up until last week. He was in the ministry for 55 years and the former pastor of New Haven Baptist Church in Terry, MS. He loved the lord and was a faithful servant until the day he died. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, always putting them first in his life. He will be truly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian McDaniel. He is survived by his son, Clayton D. (Joan) “Danny” McDaniel, Jr. of Brandon; daughters, Darlene Dukes of Byram, Karen McDaniel of Martinsville and LaQueta Gray of Wesson; siblings, Jack Bryant, Patsy Harrison and Patricia Miller; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
