Mr. Clell Henry Gardner

Clell Henry Gardner, 80, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Dominic’s Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 24th in the Garden of Memories with visitation from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Mr. Gardner was born in Scott County, MS and grew up in Ringgold, MS before moving to Florence 8 years ago. He worked most of his life as a retail salesman and tuned pianos on the side. He loved being outdoors, mowing the lawn, fishing and squirrel hunting. He enjoyed watching his favorite NFL team, the New Orleans Saints play. Mr. Gardner is preceded in death by his mother, Effie Rushing Gardner; father, Billy Gardner; and brother, G.W. Gardner. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda K. Gardner of Florence; son, Michael (Kathy) Gardner of Florence; daughter, Marla Gardner (Paul) Baucum of Florence; brother, Anderson Gardner; 3 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
