Clifton \Earl\"" Harris

Clifton "Earl" Harris, 84, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18th from 9-11 am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a private family grave side service in Terry Cemetery.\ Earl Served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He retired from Armstrong World Industries as Electrical Leader/ Project Engineer.\ Earl is survived by his wife, Patsy "Pat" Keyes Harris; two daughters, Mickey Turner and Judy (Keith) Wallace; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Richard) Withers, Amy (Brian) Booker, Matt (Amber) Turner, Kris Wallace, Laura (Jimmy) Clark, Melissa (John) Banks; nine great grandchildren; and his cousin, Anne Miller, who was like a sister when they were growing up. He is also survived by "Milo", his loyal canine friend.\ He was an avid animal lover and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of the following in his name; Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Drive, Jackson, MS 39204; CARA, 960 Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39208; or to Hospice Ministries, P.O. Box 1228, Ridgeland, MS 39158-4228 (which provided a wonderful nurse, Debbie, and others for comfort and assistance during this time), or to a charity of your choice.\
