Coleman Ervin Johnson, 83, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his home in Jackson.\
Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, May 20. 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be at 11:00am Wednesday at First Pentecostal Church in Byram. Interment will follow in Lakewood South Memorial Park. \

Mr. Johnson was born July 13, 1924 in Neshoba County, MS to Wesley Irvin and Mannie Tullos Johnson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII as a medical tech in a hospital in England, where he received several distinguished medals and was a member of IBEW Local Union #605 as a heavy equipment operator. He had lived in South Jackson since 1964 and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Byram.\

Survivors include his wife Carnell Johnson of Jackson; son, Charles E. Johnson of Decatur; daughter, Wanda L. Williams of Jackson; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.\
