Connie Kay Cole

Connie Kay Cole, born on December 21, 1950, went to be with God in the early morning hours of August 19, 2024. A devout Christian, she lived her life with faith, grace, and love. 

Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Boyd Cole; her father, Iven Gwinn; her mother, Juanita Rosentreter; her sisters, Gwen Lowe and Juanita Reuter; and her brothers, Randy Gwinn and Kenneth Kohart, with whom she shared many cherished years. In her later years, Connie found companionship and happiness with her loving partner, Larry Newby, who stood by her side and brought joy to her life. She also leaves behind her children, Constance Turner and James Logan, and her stepchildren, Brian Cole, and Jonathan Cole, who were dear to her. Connie was blessed with grandchildren, Joshua, Caitlin, James, Patrick, Cecile, Andrew, Matthew, Haley, and Brady; and great-grandchildren, including Braden, Carson, and Natalie, all of whom she cherished deeply. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary Gwinn, Iven Gwinn, Gerald Gwinn, and Larry Gwinn. Connie’s life was enriched by the close friendship she shared with her best friend and quilting partner, Nancy Lambeth. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith in the Lord touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, faithful sister, cherished friend, and a beloved partner. Her spirit now rests in peace, embraced by the eternal love of her Savior.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence, MS, with Jed Meredith officiating.
