Connie Rushing Hager

Connie Rushing Hager passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at her home in Florence, MS. She was 76 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. 

Connie was born on October 14, 1948, to Lonnie Hilton Rushing, Sr. and Ruby Inez Black Rushing in Jackson, MS. She lived in Jackson most of her life until she moved to Florence 19 years ago. Connie was a licensed cosmetologist for 30 years and traveled to hair shows internationally. She also did hair and makeup for movies on set in Jackson. Connie managed garden centers for both Walmart and Home Depot as well. She was described as a force of nature but had a heart of gold. Connie loved cooking, gardening, fishing and camping. She loved life and loved a quality life. Serving others gave her the most joy. She will truly be missed.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Francis Monette White. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Kenneth J Hager “KJ” of Florence; sons, Casy Marble (Christy) of Brandon, Chris Marble (Karen) of Clinton, and Kaleb Hager (Brittany) of Florence; grandchildren, Keifer Daughtery, Levi Hager, Kolt Hager, Amanda Langston, and Matthew Langston (Dede); great grandchild, Jaxson Genesse; sister, Ruby Gail Holmes; and brother, Lonnie Hilton Rushing, Jr. (Wanda Faye).
