Curtis Wayne Adcock, 81, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, July 17th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Richland City Cemetery. Mr. Adcock was born January 18, 1938 to Lonnie and Hilda Adcock in Smith County, MS. He lived in Braxton for 21 years before moving to Florence 5 years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland. He worked for himself as the owner of the Adcock Employment Agency but spent many years at Fowler Buick. Curtis loved to be outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, or mud-riding, he enjoyed it all. Along with his parents, Mr. Adcock is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dewayne Adcock; brother, Prentiss Adcock; and stepdaughter, Tracy Lynn Tyler. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Adcock of Florence; son, Mike (Angie) Adcock of Pearl; daughter, Janie (Robert) Horton of Richland; stepdaughter, Marla McIntyre of Florence; brothers, Dennis (Anita) Adcock of Florence, Donald (Kathy) Adcock of Florence, Ricky (Angela) Adcock of Braxton and Danny (Monica) Adcock of Florence; sister, Barbara May of Richland; sister-in-law, Betty Adcock of Richland; grandchildren, Jason Horton, Chase Horton, Katelon Adcock, Kayla Stewart, Kaden McIntyre, Joshua Louviere, Casey Jennings and Jacob Tyler. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Mississippi.
