Cynthia Kaye (Cindy) Becton, 61, of Pearl, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 6-8pm Saturday May 17, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 1:30 until the 2pm funeral service at First Pentecostal Church in Jackson. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories in Florence. A native of Arkadelphia, AR, Mrs. Becton had taught kindergarten for 35 years, the last 17 years at Morton Elementary. She had lived in Pearl for the past 15 years and was a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle. Cindy’s love for God was foremost in her life and she was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, mother, sister. She was Nonna to her grandchildren and dearly loved them. She was an excellent kindergarten teacher and touched the lives of many children who she cared for. She is preceded in death by her father, James Melvin Williams and her son, David Lynn Becton, II. She is survived by husband, David Becton of Pearl; son, Brett Becton, of Pearl; daughter, Shelly Crosswhite, of Brandon; mother, Pauline Williams, of Pearl; sister, Candy Maddox, of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Michael Muirhead, Nathan Muirhead, Jensen Crosswhite, Jake Becton, Jessi Becton, and Lily Becton.
