Mrs. Cynthia "Cyndi" Kennedy Myers

Cynthia Leigh Kennedy Myers, 54, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, April 9th from 11AM until the 2PM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Briar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Myers was born November 29, 1960 in Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, MS. She was raised in Noxapater, MS and where she graduated high school. She attended Delta State University where she studied Accounting and Economics. While living in Ruleville, MS she worked as the City Clerk for many years. After moving to Florence, she worked for Williams, Wise and Hester. She was a loving daughter, wife, and mother that lived life to the fullest and never complained. She was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church where she worked in the children’s department and she also taught Sunday school with her husband. She loved her family, children, grandchildren and her cat, Tebo very much. Mrs. Myers was survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry Myers of Florence; sons, Joshua and Joseph Myers of Florence; grandchildren, Chase and Kayden Myers of Florence; her parents, Buck and Alma Kennedy of Florence; her brothers, Dow (Heather) Kennedy of Sumrall, MS and Wade (Glenda) Kennedy of Drew, MS; her In-Laws, Wanda Hall, Joe (Hazel) McCool, Bo Myers, and James Myers all of Ruleville, MS. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Ruby Dell Compere and her paternal grandparents, Rev. Ed and Grace Kennedy.
