Mrs. Cynthia Ann Sykes

Cynthia Ann Sykes, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall. Visitation will be Friday, November 28th from 5-7 PM and Saturday, November 29th from 9 AM until the 10 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Ms. Sykes was a long time resident of Florence and a member of Cleary Baptist Church. Ms. Sykes is preceded in death by husband, Johnny Sykes; her son, Dale Sykes; and great granddaughter, Isabella Rayne Bone. She is survived by her six children, Jo Ann (Mike) Beasley of Petal, John Shelby Sykes of Florence, Dianne (Ronnie) Slay of Florence, Mike (Nancy) Sykes of Florence, Lisa (Darryl) Bone of Brandon, Janette (Roscoe) Singletary of Florence; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Kirk Johnson and his staff for the many years of health care for Mama and guidance to the family. We also thank the staff at Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall for the loving care she received during her residency there.
