Col. Dan Chisholm (USARNG Ret.), age 76 – died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his residence in Terry, MS. He was born on October 27, 1944 in Pensacola, FL, the son of Phurless Vardiman Chisholm and Nora Dean Kinard Chisholm. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors Degree. At the age of 12 years old, he met the love of his life, Kaye Bullock, and knew they would spend the rest of their lives together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and he immensely enjoyed duck and deer hunting. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Colonel, where he enjoyed flying helicopters and was responsible for the aviation division prior to his retirement after 38 years of honorable service. He was a member of Raymond Road Baptist Church. His wife, Kaye Chisholm, and son, Chip Chisholm, preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughter, Dannette Chisholm of Terry, MS; one sister, Juanita “Nita” Stringer of Byram, MS; four grandchildren: Cameron (Rachel) Bridges, Noah Bridges, Karrington Bridges, and Emily Chisholm; two-great granddaughters: Oaklyn and Keegan Bridges; and numerous other relatives and friends.
