Daniel Magee

Daniel "Dan" W. Magee, 68, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on Friday, January 6th from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 9-10 am. A Graveside service will be held at Richland Cemetery on Saturday, January 7th at 10:30 am. \ \ Dan was born March 14, 1943 in Jackson, MS, son of the late Roy and Jewel Magee. He was employed with Fountain Electric for 45 years. Dan was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He was a member of IBEW Local 480, Plain Masonic Lodge 622 and the American Quarter Horse Association.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Christine Love Magee; daughters, Stacy Shipp (Mike) of Florence, and Susie Taylor (Ken) of Richland; Son, Ed Williams (Christy) of Flora; Grandchildren, Cody Shipp of Florence, Hanna Taylor of Richland, Lane Williams of Flora, and Mary Haydon Williams of Flora; Sister, Mary Holbrooks of Flowood; Brothers, Billy Roy Magee of Byram, Charles Magee (Sarah) of New Augusta; sister in law, Dell Ewing (Bill) of the Reservoir; and numerous nieces and nephews. \ \ Memorial in lieu of flowers may be sent to Richland Cemetery, Hospice Ministries or Richland United Methodist Church.\
