Mr. Danny Franklin Lester

Daniel “Danny” Lester, 71, passed away at Hospice Ministries on Friday, January 26, 2018. Visitation will be Monday, January 29 from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Danny was a member of the United States National Guard. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Ogden Baptist Church in Bentonia. Danny played lead guitar in a band with his brothers called the “Lester Boys”. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Lester; granddaughter, Phoebe Lester; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Danny is survived by his sons, Daniel (Dwaina) Lester, Jr. of Flora and Shane Lester of Colorado; daughter, Mandy (Destry) Beemon of Star; brothers, Jerry Lester of Florence, Tommy (Alma) Lester and Ricky (Lisa) Lester both of Madison; sisters, Bobbie Ciscernos of Brandon, Phala Ables of Yazoo County, Dale Blair of Elko, NV and Sharon Langham of Flora; grandchildren, Michael Lester, Hunter Lester, Olivia Whitley, Carla Pearson and Kolten Beemon and great-grandchildren, Hagen Lester and Easton Lester.
